Dr. Rajappan Vetrivel is an IIT Madras graduate with post-doctoral experience in the UK. He served a decade as Scientist at NCL Pune, before transitioning to industrial R&D roles at GE Technology Centre and later Shell Technology Centre, Bangalore, where he was part of the senior technical leadership. With deep expertise in computational chemistry, catalysis, nanotechnology, and materials science, Vetri has led pioneering efforts, including supporting the scale-up of the world’s largest Fischer-Tropsch plant. He holds ~125 publications, ~10 patents, and was honored with the Young Scientist Award from the Catalysis Society of India.
